This time last year, we had just a laptop and a handful of brokerage vessels to sell. Nowadays, our offices in the Port of Mahón, which we share with Menorcasa Properties, are fully equipped, our long awaited website is on-line and there are six staff selling boats and property six days a week. Our brokerage portfolio has increased to over a 100 vessels, ranging from a 62ft yacht to a one-man jet-ski, with everything in between, and we can offer buyers a real choice of boats suitable for their needs.
As well as increasing the brokerage list, Clearwater has also expanded in several unexpected directions. We have been appointed exclusive sales agents for two manufacturers, Hunton Powerboats and Ribeye, and we provide a range of other marine services and products, including moorings, maintenance and storage.
As we move forward into another year, we will continue to strive to provide outstanding customer service and offer a growing number of quality pre-owned boats.

Waveney Valley Boats was founded in 1968, by Christopher and David Bromley, with an additional division for brokerage sales and client funds which was Waveney Valley Boats Brokerage. Anglia Yacht Brokers was then set up in 1992 to form a secure, independent company for clients funds offering a strict clients bank account with the full standing of a solicitors. This is unique for yacht brokers, as many only have so called client accounts without this security. Both are now limited companies, but have remained a family concern.
The Association was originally set up in 1912, and has enlarged and enhanced its operations steadily since then. Applicants are assessed before being admitted into membership, and usually become "Affiliates" before being assessed for upgrading to Associate. Above that comes Full, Fellow, Honorary and Retired. Affiliates may not advertise using the letters or logo of the Association.

The Rolex IMS Offshore World Championship 2005 this year moves for the first time to Mahón, Menorca. This year sees a record number of participating nations including crews from as far away as South America. The championship consists of six days of fierce grand-prix competition, with the world title being won or lost in just a matter of seconds.
